What ever happened to First Amendment, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” It’s shameful that these hate crimes are being committed with little to no factual information and based in assumptions and conspiracy. We sadly must report another sad story.
A Camp Washington man is being held on a $200,000 bond after police said he defaced buildings and vehicles at two Colerain Township businesses with anti-Trump and anti-Freemason graffiti.
Avery Collins, 27, was indicted Thursday on two counts of misdemeanor criminal damaging.
Collins was initially charged with six counts of vandalism, a felony, and issued a $600,000 bond, but the charges were reduced.
Police said on June 26 that Collins had damaged property at both Northside Bank and Trust and Joseph Toyota in the 9000 block of Colerain Avenue.
According to court documents, Collins used a permanent marker to write “Kill Free Masons,” “Kill Freemasons ASAP,” and “Black Lifes matter B****** Burn Trump with all Crackers.”
Collins is being held at the Hamilton County Justice Center awaiting trial, which has not yet been scheduled.
